I do not believe the virtual airsoft sky is falling.

Technically speaking all airsoft guns are "clones" so it surely is not the end of all airsoft gun imports, as many do not come from China. Japan and Taiwan, Germany and France all have IM Clone style airsoft guns for sale at prices that range from $50.00 to $5000.00 dollars per clone.

As for all the rumors of AGM and Cyma closed for good, First, I have heard of various issues with exporting the full metal airsoft guns AGM was producing. Perhaps these full metal clones were just built to good, as every one I have handled, used and customized has been rock solid and uses standard replacement parts.

Finally As for Cyma I think they will be around for awhile as well. These guys have been making airsoft clones since the beginning. They have cloned both pistols and assault weapons with the AK 47 series being widely known. You can also find Cyma parts and gearboxes in Aftermath and other re brands and second market airsoft guns. I think before Cyma stayed closed they would just move to a new Country and set up airsoft clone shop.

Bottom line, airsoft games around the USA are growing in size and demographics. The airsoft game story lines are changing and games with Zombie, Milsim and WWII themes have become popular, feeding the need for all styles of airsoft historic reproductions, replica's and clone's. Along with game growth goes airsoft gun and part sales which have quickly become a billion dollar a year or more market. Many U.S. Military and Police groups have adopted airsoft guns for training further driving the need for duty weapon type clones.

Economies are fueled by demand and right now airsoft clones in the USA are in high demand. We may see a price increase for the short term but I highly doubt the Chinese im clone versions will be gone from the market for long. The names stamped into the airsoft gun bodies may change, but I bet a deeper look at the airsoft gun's internal DNA will reveal the true identity of your airsoft clone's daddy.

Armsdealer...OUT!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://airsoftgame.blogspot.com/2009/10/im-clone-airsoft-guns.html' title='"i.m. Some people call them LARPS (live action role playing) but only highly scripted events like the Freefall Airsoft Game fit this definition. Local Officials have remained tight lipped about the details of the arrival of the G20 Airsoft members but reports leaking out of the area claim that private security forces have already begun locking down the meeting location and the routes leading to it. It is widely rumored that the US secretary of State will be attending the meeting to ask these wealthy leaders to loan the US money in the form of investment capitol so the buyout bailout of America can continue on course. An unofficial source is claiming each member of this controversial group has enemies that would like to see them dead or severely welted. The US government claims to have no direct evidence of national atrocities committed or ordered by attendees of this meeting of alleged evil rulers, murderers and dictators and when questioned about possible action against the group the response from the White House was “Change is Good”. It clearly tells how the story will progress and has an itinerary of each phase. You should also be very clear on any special field boundary, FPS, weapon or magazines restrictions your game may have. Notice the half hour briefing time? This is so all the safety rules of the field can be explained to players before the game begins. In todays scenarios games can follow a military, Sci Fi, WWII, or even roaring 30's type story line as the airsoft period weapons are now readily available in the USA.

*Please note if you do not have commercial insurance for your airsoft field you should not charge for games you host.

Till next time
Armsdealer...OUT!

Airsoft Guns Approved For Airsoft Games

I get emails daily asking me which airsoft guns are approved for airsoft games and which guns will work best on the field. I typically respond by informing customers that any gun that shoots less than 400 Foot Per Second (FPS) is a great gun for first time airsoft game players. Any airsoft weapon that chronographs at 401 FPS or higher will be designated (Sniper Class) and have extra restrictions and rules attached that must be followed. If your weapon shoots hotter than 550 FPS it will not be allowed to be used.

Can I Bring My Spring Pistol or Shotgun to a Game?

Short answer is YES. Many players have shown up to their first events wielding nothing more than a spring shotgun or pistol. While this is certainly allowed as far as field rules go...It is not recommended for outdoor style airsoft games as others teams and players will have you seriously out gunned with Automatic Electric Guns (AEG) that feature an extremely high Rate Of Fire (ROF). Now for CQB style indoor games a spring shotgun or pistol is the perfect weapon where targets will only present themselves for a brief second. Gas blow back (GBB) airsoft pistols also perform great in close quarter battle and close quarter combat (CQC) style situations.

Which Air soft Gun is Best for Airsoft Games?

I get asked this question often and the answer is always the same: The most crucial element is the gearbox that is inside your airsoft gun. I only recommend Metal Gearbox Guns for field use. You can then upgrade your airsoft weapon to fully suite your needs if necessary. Full metal airsoft guns with full metal gearboxes are now available for under 200 dollars so your best bet is to save up your cash or add it to the Birthday wish list and get a solid gun right from the start. There is also that Santa dude but rumors are he is a phony!
Basically your gun should be determined by the role or character you are playing. Are you a stealthy person who likes to sneak up on opponents positions and take them out slowly without being detected? Then an airsoft sniper load out would suit you best. Do you love extreme physical sports and want to be in every fire fight that breaks out? SAW gunner for you! The main point is the role or character you choose will help you decide the weapon that's right for your style of air soft game play.

Proper maintenance and repair of your airsoft gun will be a required necessity. Learning how to do it yourself is your best option but for full rebuilds and upgrades its always best to find a airsoft gun repair and parts shop. Many airsoft fields now have airsmiths available to service your guns onsite as well.

What type of airsoft gear will I need for games? That question will require another full blog just to begin. Sometimes we use fictional people such as the "Downed Pilot" who is behind enemy lines and must be protected and tactically extracted from some unknown hostile location . Other times it is an object or multiple objects that must be retrieved and brought back to your command center to score points for your airsoft team. The props you use can have a huge effect on the outcome of the game itself. Interactive style props, like a time bomb that must be found and brought back to a specific location within a predetermined allotment of time can have a huge effect on the final outcome of a game. These devices simulate explosions with bells or loud sonic tones. Large objects like ammunition caches or hidden secret weapons that must be recovered, protected and returned to a base reward players with points if they achieve the objective in a timely manner. Items that have to be recovered could include vehicles, Gems, Computer Equipment or even Satellite Dishes. Sometimes we use a single device separated into parts that must each be recovered to assemble a larger device like a big WMD puzzle. Ever try and find a blue Lego block on 40 acres of property?...Now try and search for it while 20 armed airsoft players are "Hunting You" at the same time.

Where do I get these airsoft props? Make them up or build them yourself from things laying around your house and garage, or if you are really creative build them from items like sonic personal alarms, or old military surplus ammo cans., everyone loves a secret agent bomb briefcase. The guys over at the MOA (A WW2 re-enactors group) like to use plywood cutouts of animals like pigs and sheep...If your forces cannot score enough critters during the airsoft game, then your troops are weakened from starvation. Bricks spray painted gold and packed in milk crates make a great Fort Knox style treasure. With little stretch of the imagination you can easily create story lines that are action packed and exciting for airsoft gamers of all ages.

Another great airsoft game tip is to try out different themed scenarios games instead of the same old war re-creationist games. Operation Plague (A zombie style game) and Freefall game ( A Sci-Fi airsoft game) are both very popular at the Airsoft Battle Zone game field and feature very unique airsoft props and objectives for players to exercise their brains with...while hunting human players with airsoft guns...My favorite pastime. Happy Hunting....

AirsoftArmsdealer

Safe Airsoft Games

I get asked many questions on the Airsoft Battle Zone Forums about "Safe Airsoft Games" and how to play and run them. I typically will answer by saying with safety educated players the safe airsoft games just happen. Our Wisconsin airsoft game field has many rules and regulations in place to help keep everyone on the field as safety minded as possible. Airsoft safety netting (as seen in photo) needs to be in place in "Safe Zones" and players must be aware of the rules associated with these areas.

Players on the ABZ field are required to take the magazines out of their airsoft gun and place a barrel condom or barrel blocking device over the airsoft gun muzzle when entering. This coupled with a keep your finger off the trigger rule keeps everyone in the safe zone, SAFE. Inside of these safe zones is the only place you are allowed to remove your goggles during an airsoft game in play.

This concept only works if everyone is aware of the field rules and follows them. Our job as airsoft field owners and event organizers is to communicate to players what we demand of each of them for the safety of all people participating in the game. Making sure all players hear the game briefing, and announcing special scenario game rules that might be in place for the day is top priority...How can new players be expected to follow the rules if we or you do not tell them. Make sure all players are fully aware of field property boundaries, indoor airsoft CQB-CQC rules, eye protection rules and guidelines plus any other special rules that may be enforced for the particular game you are attending.

We use running vehicles in many of our airsoft games and extra attention to detail must be used to prevent accidents or injuries from a fully armed jeep, or our new Bobcat based airsoft tank rolling across the field with 30 to 50 players running around. Only designated drivers and gunners are allowed closer than 10 feet while the vehicles are moving. Referees are on the field during games for all players safety, listen to what they are telling you their word rules! If you do not listen or follow the rules they will eject you from the game and perhaps from the field itself if you continuously violate the rules.

Most airsoft game fields will have protective clothing and eye wear rules as well that must be adhered to. Some fields only allow full sealed face protection while others will allow just safety glasses. At our ABZ field players 18 and over can wear full seal goggles or mesh type goggles that are safety rated or field approved, but under 18 must wear full face protection. This picture of "snake" shows a player safely dressed for an airsoft game. He is wearing a full face mask with eye protection and also has full skin coverage which allows him to enter and play in buildings on the field. We also require the red rag he is carrying which is a signal he has been hit. Displaying the kill rag and yelling "hit", when you have been shot, helps signal other players to stop shooting at you. The helmet is not required, but is nice to stop bb's from bouncing off your melon...which is not dangerous, but does hurt.

Players over the age of 18 are not required to wear the full face protection, but must have ANSI rated, full seal safety goggles. Below B-rik of the Minnesota Airsoft Association, sports some fine safety goggles along with his "Gucci" style kill rag. The gloves are not required but can stop those painful finger shots from hurting so much. The rest of his gear is completely optional and might change from game to game. Other safety tools like a compass or signal whistle, you might consider carrrying on your loadout as well...Just in case you get lost or sprain an ankle in the woods and need them. Water to most people is not considered a safety tool, but at airsoft games it is very important. Most players have a canteen, or bladder bag style backpack so they have water with them at all times. Playing airsoft on a hot July day and running up and down hills and through the woods can dehydrate a player in full load out gear in a hurry. If you are deep in the woods the dehydration can make you become disorientated in a hurry and suddenly you have a serious situation on your hands. I have seen players become dehydrated just as fast during winter games as well, so be sure and drink plenty of water during airsoft games. Some scenario events can run 1 or even 2 full days so snacks like energy bars or granola can be a good thing as well. Most airsoft players are self proclaimed adrenaline junkies and love the heart pounding intense feeling a full assault on an enemy base can create. 30 players in full load out gear charging down a hill with airsoft guns blazing and team commanders yelling orders and assaulting your teams base or position while you try and hold them off is an exciting time for all. Holding them off and pushing them back up the hill with massive airsoft firepower and watching them retreat back into the woods is more fun than any video game I have ever played, and can be completely safe and harmless fun if you just follow the airsoft safety rules.

One last thing I would like to mention is "where you play your airsoft games" this can be a huge safety factor. Secluded private areas are important so you do not have issues with neighbors or hikers. Our Wisconsin airsoft game field is set deep in the woods of Eau Claire County, on private land. Imagine looking out your window one day and on a tree line across the street from your house you see people dressed like the guys in the pictures shown here and sporting very real looking assault rifles and pistols. Your first reaction would probably have you calling 911 in a hurry. If the police are called to an airsoft game, it means they are responding to a call about people with guns and will react accordingly. They do not know they are airsoft guns until they touch them. This is a very dangerous situation and one you must avoid. Only play airsoft games on airsoft fields or private secluded land that is out of site of the general public, To do otherwise could cost you your life, for real! Airsoft is a fun, social and healthy game sport and will continue to grow in popularity if we all do our best to promote Safe Airsoft Games.

Wisconsin Airsoft Game Season

OK... we all played some winter MILSIM games and had some exciting spring skirmishes as well, but nothing kicks off the Wisconsin Airsoft Game Season like the arrival of spring thaw. All the white in the woods seems to have suddenly disappeared and made way for Mother Natures camouflage that is soon to come. Now if things would just dry up...and warm up then we could "Let the War Games Begin". The Midwest Ostfront is hosting a World War Two airsoft game "Springtime in Porkhov" in Neilsville, WI and the overnight camping this early in spring might be a little chilly, but I plan on heading over there Saturday morning. A snowy winter and wet spring have forced us to close the ABZ airsoft Field Saturday and Sunday April 11th and 12th. The driveway is in the process of thawing out and at the recent Hatfield and McCoys Airsoft game we had to implement parking restrictions. It was good to see the players who came out for this game and we sure had a nice day to play. It looks like we may have to close Saturday and Sunday April 19th and 20th for field driveway maintenance as well but we will see how spring progresses. The ABZ fairchild airsoft field has purchased a new Bobcat crawler...skidder just for making airsoft field upgrades and improvements and it should be delivered a week or so before the Airsoft Season Kickoff game "Operation Stormfront" on April 26th and 27th 2008. We also would like to welcome our new airsoft field safety director Scott Becker...He will be handling all our field safety issues for this season and hopefully many more to come. As of may 1st the Fairchild airsoft field will be open for free games on most Saturdays and Sundays and camping is free on Saturday nights with a reservation. These airsoft games are an adrenaline junkies best friend. OK, so this guy in the airsoft picture to the right does not look too excited....BUuuuuT when you consider he was playing a two day airsoft game and this was the morning of day two, then you begin to see this as a different picture. Airsoft is considered an extreme sport and many of the scenarios are designed to re-create some of the stresses and extreme conditions of real world battle scenarios without the causalities. Twelve, Twenty Four, and even 36 hour game missions are not unheard of. The games typically follow a MILSIM (military simulation) storyline but games that follow world war 2 and sci-fi storylines as well as western, gangster and zombie scenarios are becoming more popular.

Typically these Live Action Role Playing or Airsoft LARP's will have dress code requirements for players. A milsim game may require players to wear one type of camouflage such as BDU, ACU or marpat. Gangster style airsoft larps may require people to come dressed as they wish as many different role players are needed for this style of game. Our Wisconsin airsoft games calender list games that have no dress codes and some that do. Many of the ABZ free airsoft games feature open game dates where players and event organizers can try out their own mini list of individual airsoft game requirements.

teams love to sport their gear and are happy at games to provide airsoft safety and field information as well. Many of these players have had and still have thousands of dollars worth of gear and their hands on opinions and reviews can save a new player allot of time when shopping or searching for a durable The amount of airsoft weapons and gear that is used and displayed at these events is enough to boggle the mind. Airsoft guns of every style and model are used and players love to share information about airsoft manufacturers and Airsoft gun field performance. Wisconsin airsoftairsoft gun. Some brands of airsoft equiptment such as Inokatsu are not widely known, although the M60 shown here is well known among airsoft gamers. So now you know what all the hype is, and why players get so excited about these games. Its a chance to be the hero or the villian and fully play the part you dream of, complete with simulated kills, battlefield sounds, skilled opposition or exotic belly dancers. (yes belly dancers have been included in an airsoft game:) Regardless what style airsoft game you choose to play its an adrenaline rush to have a carload of gangsters pull up to your hideout with airsoft tommy guns blazing while you and your mafia try to sneak out the back to avoid capture or worse. How about an attempt at exploiting the well guarded mines of a distant moon that is protected by the Federation Alliance Forces. The great thing is even if you lose the war or the battle the most you go home with is a bruised ego and some airsoft bb welts. This still beats sitting on the couch doing the same thing virtually, but only exercising your thumbs. Their mosin nagant airsoft gun reproduction is a nice addition to the ww11 sniper style weapons but the new PPSH41 AEG is what caught my attention. Gryphon from SGS was kind enough to stop by and let me fondle one of these early Russian LMG's and I must say I was impressed. The solid maple stock with large size AEG battery compartment is a beautiful touch and assures many battle scar memories will be etched in its oiled sweetness forever. The standardized version 7 mechbox installed in this beauty produces a ROF of approx 900 bb's per minute at 310-330 FPS which is right on par with the real steel versions of the ppsh41 still in use today. The 200 round high capacity style magazine, features a top fill port and bottom winder. The Hop up is adjustable from outside of the gun with no tools needed, making for simple field wind and elevation corrections. I was amazed at the nice hefty weight (7 lbs) and balance of the front of this AEG. The fiberglass reinforced cold cast aluminum receiver barrel shroud and magazine housing is material that is much stronger than the zinc alloy monkey metals in use by many airsoft gun manufacturers today. One more thing and its a biggy...SGS custom airsoft is located in the USA so parts and service are very reliable and only a phone call away. All in All I would have to say the Germans had best beware at airsoft games this year, I think the gamers will learn what a Regiment of Russians armed with papashas can do.

Winter WW2 Airsoft Game "Nashville, WI Feb 8-10"

This is gonna be good! I attended a game last fall with these guys in Neilsville, WI and I assure you this will be educational and fun for anyone who attends. This airsoft game has some unique rules so be sure and visit the World War 2 airsoft association forums for special rules and player requirements. The game organizers have announced; "There will be some airsoft world premiers unveiled at this event. Never before seen toys that will make a splash when seen for the first time." I can only speculate, hope and pray that one of the new airsoft world premieres will be the long awaited Russian PPSH41 airsoft AEG custom. Actually its not pure speculation as the manufacturer of this custom AEG has asked Airsoft Battle Zone to prepare to distribute these for sale after the prototypes have been tested. Combine that with the release on the WW2AA forums of these ppsh41-prototype pics and I bet this will be one of the World Airsoft Premiere releases. I wonder what the other premiered airsoft will be, perhaps the airsoft Howitzer so the Germans can finally hold some ground.

Airsoft CQB Games... Indoor Games

Airsoft close quarters battles or CQB games are held mostly indoors although I have played many cqb outside games as well. I am going to talk mainly about the safety precautions that must be taken to provide a safe indoor, airsoft gaming environment. First you need to be aware that airsoft bb's will damage most interior wall coverings like drywall and paneling. Airsoft bb's will also damage wood, break windows, light fixtures, light bulbs and other indoor home decorations. With that in mind one of the simplest DIY setups for cqb is in Altoona,Wisconsin and we like to call it becks basement of d00m. This area is setup with a grid work of plastic tarps strung on cables to create interchangeable pathways and cubicles that can be changed by simply sliding the tarps along the cables to make new pathways and dead ends. The lights have all been covered with steel 1/8 inch hardware cloth to prevent the fixtures from taking bb hits. We just played a game there last week as recent Midwest snowstorms have kept us inside. We follow the same cqb rules and guidelines for these smaller games as we would for a large scenario game at our air soft outdoor field. One rule that is mandatory for airsoft close quarters battles is full face mask and full skin coverage. In a cqb game the whole idea is to be stealthy and sneak up on your opponent to get the "jump on them". Please keep in mind that as the name implies "close quarters" is just that, proper air soft safety precautions must be taken to assure a safe and fun game for everyone as many BB hits will be from 5 feet or less. Feel free to look over and use any safety tips and suggestions from our wisconsin airsoft games page. The rules that have been established for our outdoor airsoft game field are proven to promote safe and injury free games. Typically the attack and defend type scenarios work best inside but the story line possibilities are endless. I am a big fan of using my GBB pistol inside, but many of the players choose to use AEG's. Regardless of which airsoft model you wield during the game, well thought out safety precautions will assure you its as fun as it sounds for all players.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://airsoftgame.blogspot.com/2007/12/airsoft-cqb-games-indoor-games.html' title='Airsoft CQB Games... This acronym stands for Free Airsoft Training Practice Days and the games have been quite popular. One of the most recent scenarios was the CDW airsoft game and as the picture below show many Wisconsin airsoft game enthusiasts came out for this mid November airsoft game.

We will continue to host games at our field right through the winter months and have many game dates already listed on the Wisconsin Airsoft Game Calendar. Winter airsoft games in Wisconsin can be brutal in terms of weather but it helps that our Wisconsin airsoft field has over 5000 square feet of heated indoor airsoft game space. Rental guns are available at the games and include both AEG's and Gas Pistols.

Half the fun of airsoft games is player participation in the scenario's. For this Colombian cartel simulated airsoft game these players from the GOPMAT airsoft team dressed the part. Costumes are not a requirement for airsoft game attendance but it does help add to the overall atmosphere of the game. Some players will put much time and effort into each game they choose to attend. Regardless of how you dress we hope to see you at a Wisconsin winter airsoft game sometime in the near future.

Armsdealer

Airsoft Games with Armored Vehicles

This past Sunday we attended an airsoft game in poynette Wisconsin. Actually we have been planning for this airsoft event since last years "Operation Vigilance Airsoft Game" and we were not dissapointed with part 2. There were about 115 players and of course the russian armored car shown below which is part of the subject of this article. Troy B. owns and operates the armored vehicle shown in the picture. He is becoming a regular at airsoft games in Wisconsin and Illinois. Our airsoft field in Fairchild, WI has hosted games with the BA-64 playing support roles for the game. We now have a light armored airsoft jeep we use regularly on our field. Using these vehicles in the airsoft games requires a special set of rules for both safety and disabling during the game. Safety is the primary concern when these vehicles are intermixed with the players on the field. Having a well trained crew and using the same drivers helps minimize the danger as these veteran operators will be aware of the quirks involved in this type of operation. The jeep spoke of above has a designated driver that is trained in our fields safety procedures. A clear explanation of the rules of engagement must be given to the players at the briefing. We use a ten foot rule informing all players if the vehicle is moving you cannot be closer than 10 feet. Using common sense and strict player rules will help assure the continued use of airsoft armored vehicles in games.

Airsoft Gun Game Terminology

Ever notice each sport or hobby we join is loaded with new acronyms and phrases. At any one of our airsoft games you could over hear a conversation that sounds like this "I was down in sector six reloading my AEG hi-caps when a coupla tango's jumped me on my six, had to pull out my GBB and managed to KO Three mercs before the Op4's lit me up. Couldn't get my kill rag on my head fast enough".

If a new player was standing there with a bewildered look on their face we would just smile and say "noob". At first the lingo sounds funny, then it catches on and one day you find yourself at a group function that is not airsoft related and you tell a story like the one quoted above and people look at you very puzzled and sympathetic for your condition. Yep thats the day you realize you are not a noob anymore...They Are.

So by now you are probably wondering whats up with all the guys with red rags on their heads. D.E.A.D. All of them wearing kill rags for airsoft games. This simple red rag is a signal in a simulated airsoft war game that your opponent has hit you. Rules of events will vary from game to game but generally a bb hit will require you to pull out the rag to signal the hit as well as yell out to audibly signal as well.

And if the acronyms are not hard enough to remember many airsoft teams have call signs and code word airsoft terminology to further confuse their opponents. Its all part of the game plan and the secret nature of milsim and scenario type airsoft games.

Operation: Plague mini game

The operation "Plague" mini airsoft game was a blast. Shooting flesh eating zombies with airsoft guns is not as simple as it sounds but sure does make for an exciting day of gaming. We also hosted another Airsoft Education Course and graduated more players just in time for the mandatory requirement that takes effect Sept 1st on the Fairchild, Wisconsin airsoft game field. Congratulations to these safety minded players. We are looking forward to an all night airsoft game that starts Sat Sept1 at 5PM and finishes Sun morning at 8AM or so. Recent talks among Wisconsin Airsoft Association members and management has helped bring this idea to light. The WAA has put together a pilot safety program for WI airsoft gun enthusiasts and airsoft fields to implement as a commitment to public airsoft safety awareness. The program known as the Airsoft Education Course or AEC is designed, implemented and reviewed by the WAA Safety Committee. Several Wisconsin airsoft gun game fields have opted to offer this to patrons and players with the ABZ field in Fairchild, WI deciding to make it a mandatory entry requirement as of September 1st 2007. The WAA has provided us with awesome field trainers (volunteer members) and a program that is very thorough with hands on and study guide type information. This program has made a huge impact on the safety practices and awareness being shown among players on our field. To help further this, Airsoft Battle Zone is sponsoring a plan to promote educating the general public about the dangers that exist with airsoft replica guns in public. The need for this is apparent by the rising amount of incidents that are being reported in the national press. We are looking for law enforcement officers in Wisconsin communities willing to help shed some light on the "Grey Areas" that seem to confuse many airsofters as to the legalities of where you can or cannot use your airsoft gun in public. The program called TWST Training Weapons for Safety Talks will donate one airsoft training style handgun to a police department in return for a safety talk by a law enforcement officer at a Sanctioned AEC. If your department training officer is interested you can contact ABZ staff or officers of the WAA.

Now on to the game calender... There will be a Zombie style airsoft game hosted by lupine productions at the ABZ field on October 7th. Cost for this event is $30 dollars per person. Rules can be found at the Operation Plague airsoft game website. If you live in southern WI this game has a second play date of October 14th at the Apoc paintball field near Madison, WI. We did a mini play test zombie game with game producer Ryan Jopp and I have to say it was incredible fun.

On Friday and Saturday October 12th and 13th there will be a free World War 2 style airsoft event just outside of Neilsville, WI. This is a green level event so 75% era specific gear is required but the event organizer is willing to allow non era airsoft weapons for this game. This game will feature airsoft armed vehicles and some airsoft gun rentals will be available on the field. Overnite camping is allowed and free so make a full weekend out of it. We have held several of these events and you can see a noticeable difference in the level of "airsoft safety awareness" and "gun safety practices" being applied on the game field by the AEC graduates. The field referee's agree noticing more people remembering to pull out mags before entering the safety zone, keeping fingers off triggers in the safe zone and in general just better "safety thinking" out on the field. Now that we have a good percentage of AEC graduates playing in each game, we are starting to see the full impact of the course as other players begin reminding each other of potential safety issues on the field. As of Sept 1, we will make this course a mandatory requirement for anyone who plays on our field. The requirement will be grandfathered in so you can attend games until the next scheduled class. If it stays on schedule it should roll out near Neilsville, WI early spring of 2008. We will make sure and give plenty of notice of the details and rules of this upcoming major airsofting event.

Also soon to hit the airsoft gaming calender for spring of 2008 is "An Airsoft Scenario" A modern day thriller airsoft game. This game is about a group of State Farmers who are ripping off their good neighbors and must be stopped. This airsoft event is scheduled for the April 17th 2008 Airsoft opening day at the ABZ field located in Fairchild, Wisconsin.

Looking for a wisconsin airsoft game a little sooner than 2008? We have several on the calender for the upcoming months. What a crazy summer this has been and seems to be continuing. We have had airsoft games twice a month or more out at the ABZ field in Fairchild,Wi. Operations: battleship down, anger management, raining fire, are just a few of the milsim and world war two style airsoft games we had this summer.

More recently we hosted a large airsoft scenario style event called"freefall game" this has been my first immersion into character role playing and "I think I kinda like it". The game setting was very sci-fi ish and really well laid out with non combatants added into the game which really added a cool effect overall. The scenario combined some actors from the Eau Claire Renfaire and local community airsofters as well as some hardcore milsim players. This game lasted two days and included a pig roast and belly dancers during the "peace talks". The feedback has been awesome and everyone I saw left dirty and tired but, smiling and that... is the sure sign of a successful airsoft game.

We still have an airsoft saftey class coming up August 26th. We will have a game after 1pm when the AEC is over. Visit the WAA website for a listing of things to bring along for the class.

You can view our airsoft game calender here
You can view our airsoft game pics here

Hope to see you at a airsoft game soon.

Armsdealer
Wisconsin's airsoft gun headquarters

Wisconsin Airsoft Expo. 2007 Airsofters Educating Airsofters

Hello Everyone,
Are you ready for the 1st Wisconsin Airsoft Expo coming to you on March 31st, 2007! In this 10,000 square foot building with 6 inches of sawdust on the floor and paint of many colors every where from many paintball events being held here the game is on.

Another One Bites the Sawdust After-Action Report

Colonial Marines Mission Assignment:
The Recovery of the ITV Sawdust City, 14 January, 2257, Earth Standard Reckoning.

Mission Background: The year is 2257. The Arcturus Corporation Interstellar Transport Vessel Sawdust City has been discovered drifting over twelve parsecs off the trade lane in deep space. Up until now, the ‘Dust was assumed lost with all hands, since she failed to arrive on Alpha Centauri Prime after a resupply mission to the Arcturus Mining Colony over three years ago. A Colonial Marines ship, the USS Ballentine, has been dispatched from ACPrime to inspect and secure the derelict vessel in preparation for its salvage or recovery. Since damage scans indicate that the loss of the vessel was not due to pirate attack or mechanical mishap, the unit has been told to prepare for possible xenomorph contact.

Cmdr. Log, USS Ballentine: 1100 hrs
Contact Reported by Wolf Recon Squad Alpha at 1030 hrs, Cargo Bay Airlock – Deck I. Encountering heavy resistance from unidentified xenomorphs in low-light conditions, humanoid-form xenos with projectile-throwing capabilities, probable small arms capable. Vertical surfaces of Sawdust City interior covered in slimy multicolored secretions, footing unsure, floors covered in chitinous flakes. Required two flash bomb barrages and the loss of three squads to gain the first stairwell to below decks. Request permission to recall forward units and issue Power Armor to advance squads.

ACPrime Mission Command: 1107 hrs - PERMISSION DENIED. CASUALTIES ACCEPTIBLE. SECURE VESSEL AND OBTAIN XENOMORPH SPECIMENS. PROCEED AS INSTRUCTED.

Cmdr. Log, USS Ballentine: 1200 hrs
Surviving elements of Wolf Recon Alpha hold Deck II central stairwell, with Marine Beta occupying Deck I cargo bay. 80% casualties in Beta Squad, bodies of two Marines KIA lost to xenos. “Warrior” xenos appear to be unusually resistant to small arms fire, possibly armored, no specimens recovered. Grenades effective. Request forensic analysis of xenomorph secretions before proceeding to Deck III.

USS Ballentine Forensic Specialist Report: 1215 hrs
Xenomorphs tentatively identified as species Sapiocephala Arcturus, called “Hive Worms.” Aggressive parasites resembling large flatworms, able to neurologically manipulate, sustain and use mammal or large reptile corpses as protective shells, first identified 2246ESR on Arcturus Mining Colony, (this section CLASSIFIED under Standing Interstellar Security and Commercial Patent Rights Order 147.) Full lifecycle unknown, forensic analysis team to follow Marine forward units as they advance. Quarantine Protocol Blue in force as of 1235 hours - no personnel or human remains may be evacuated from ITV Sawdust City until lifted. Live xenomorph specimens to be preserved in situ for shipment to Interstellar Defense Base ACPrime.

Cmdr. Log, USS Ballentine: 1230 hrs
Marine squad holds Deck III central stairwell. Xenos on this level more vulnerable to fire; forensic specialist reports this is due to our having penetrated the Hive Wall, their defensive perimeter. Xenos of three distinct types, scavenging unarmed “workers,” armed “drones,” and armored “warriors.” Xenos use standard small arms, likely from Sawdust City’s weapons locker. Xeno method of communication undetermined. Have recovered four Hive Worm larvae for forensic analysis and opened all three stairwells below, but at the loss of entire squad. Marines KIA used as Hive Worm larva hosts if corpses not guarded. Marines forced to fire on our own reanimated dead in self-defense.

Cmdr. Log, USS Ballentine: 1400 hrs
Squad holds starboard stairwell on Deck IV. Damn worms use live humans to incubate their eggs! Recovered one crewmember from Cargo Bay IV with xeno egg implanted. Xenos able to release some sort of paralysis agent. Toxin bomb like a big black egg ruptures to release toxin. With all due respect, why the hell weren’t we informed of possible chemical agents? One Marine taken alive while paralyzed by toxin, now an f-----g Bug Incubator. Eggs silvery, approximately 25cm diameter. Resistance most stiff on Decks I, II & IV, have sealed airlocks to these levels, recommend assault team in hard-vacuum Power Armor armed with flash bomb launchers evacuate survivors, then decompress entire vessel.

ACPrime Mission Command: 1402 hrs – DO NOT DECOMPRESS VESSEL. CLEAR OF HOSTILE XENOMORPHS ONLY. REPEAT: POWER ARMOR USE DENIED - RISK OF DAMAGE TO VESSEL TOO GREAT. PROCEED WITH MISSION.

Cmdr. Log, USS Ballentine: 1600 hrs
Squads entered Reactor Core Subdeck through shield airlock after sealing stairwells. Reactor Core emergency strobes made target acquisition difficult, one squad lost in the advance. Two more Hive Worm types encountered, “queen” and “guard,” both armed and armored. Hive “queen” nested in Reactor Core Engineering Station, impossible to power up vessel without eliminating remaining xenos. Dud grenade failed to neutralize queen, cost four Marines KIA to overcome queen and guards at close quarters with small arms. Have lost contact with forward squad. Request permission for immediate med-evac and decontamination of survivors. I hope to hell this damn transport tub was worth it.

ACPrime Mission Command: UNITS ABOARD VESSEL ARE UNDER QUARANTINE – DO NOT EVACUATE. USS BALLENTINE IS ORDERED TO RETURN TO BASE IMMEDIATELY. FORENSIC PRESERVATION TEAM EN ROUTE TO VESSEL TO ASSIST SURVIVORS.

CLASSIFIED – YOU’RE EYES ONLY.
Exerpt of Forensic Preservation Team Exit Report, ITV Sawdust City Recovery,
18 Jan 2257ESR:

…surviving Marines were found comatose in Reactor Core and implanted with ovospheres, blood samples indicate (BLACKOUT.) Incubation monitoring is proceeding as instructed, all xenomorph specimens appear viable, the first captive hatch is expected (BLACKOUT.) The commercial potential of this xenomorph genome is estimated as High, and this team recommends continuation of captive Hive development. The monitoring team requests relocation of the Hive Host Vessel >former ITV Sawdust City< to orbit above an isolated terrestrial habitat so the entire species life cycle may be observed, as our research indicates that full maturation to the adult “queen” form may require a period of subterranean dormancy of unknown duration. Suggested terrestrial site: (BLACKOUT.)

For those who could not attend you missed a great airsofting event. However, as skirmishing with airsoft guns took off, fuelled by the availability of CO2 and compressed air powered automatic guns, with external gas tanks (which, although bulky, worked well on cold days), The demise of classics occurred because the Japanese government banned Green Gas and CO2 over there, so they were left essentially with 134a, an underpowered and expensive propellant.

JAC lasted through 1995 and Kokusai through 1997 producing gas rifles, though they continued making their pistols and revolvers after that. Asahi discontinued their gas guns and went to limited production guns, as far as is known exclusively bolt action. Maruzen, the maker of the Mac10 and 'mini' AUG (86% scale aug), popular beginner's guns, has continued with their smgs and pistols to this day.

It was around this time that Tokyo Marui launched their AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) range, which require no gas and work whatever the weather. The effect of these, long arms (rifles and machineguns) was to drive most of the traditional (gas gun) manufacturers out of business.

Of course, there were collectors of handguns who still wanted gas guns (the handgun equivalent of AEGs, EBB, is a damp squib so far) and manufacturers such as Tokyo Marui, Western Arms and KSC stepped in to produce, first NBBs and then GBB pistols, whilst old timers like Marushin and Maruzen stayed in the market producing their range. These guns had more efficient gas systems, which meant that a reasonable amount of gas could be stored in the magazine (or hand grip on earlier NBBs), removing the reliance on ugly external tanks and increasing the realism.

Airsoft guns were designed to be relatively low in power so that they could be used in confined spaces as space is at a premium in Japan. The combination of realism, safety, flexibility, and low cost made Airsoft more appealing to the average consumer who would like to exercise his or her steady eye! hand coordination without the inherent dangers. Some real steel owners like to practice with their GBB as the cost of ammunition is something like 1/100th of the price!

Springer’s have been around a long time (I owned a Daisy spring .177 once!) and they form the cheap end of the market, with prices ranging from $5 or $6 for very cheap, weak and poorly detailed Chinese made guns (often bearing little or no resemblance to any specific model) to around $60 for top of the range KWC Desert Eagles, with adjustable hop-up and GBB like quality and they continue to

Today, Airsoft is popular in many of the Asian countries and gaining in popularity, for both collecting and skirmishing (where the lower pain infliction and increased realism is winning converts from paintball) in the US and Europe (notably Italy and the UK).

Interestingly, whilst the AEG is the preferred long arm for most skirmishers, there's a thriving market for gas blowback rifles and sub-machine guns and these are becoming better and more powerful as the technology developed for airsoft handguns is applied back to them.

Here at Airsoft Battle Zone we hope you found this tib bit of history interesting on airsoft guns.

Mr & Mrs Armsdealer

Airsoft Games During The Winter Months In Wisconsin

Now that the Winter months have attacked Wisconsin with frigged temperatures and snow, there are a few things you might want to know about airsoft gun game playing and your gas powered airsoft guns or aeg guns. Beginning with your gas hand guns and gas sniper rifles. The problem with these types of airsoft guns is that the gas gets cold and it causes you to lose power and range. Now the aegs are a little different, with a lot of feed back from our customers and from experience of my own it has been found that most upgraded aegs will stop working completely within the first hour of very cold weather and with a good chance of causing damage to your mechbox which if not careful can be very costly. At our last outdoor airsoft event it was 18 degrees for the day, all the airsoft players that had upgraded aeg airsoft guns found there gun stopped working within the 1st hour as well as my airsoft gun. Thank God I had extra airsoft guns that were not upgraded with me for other players as well as for myself to use. With everyone using non upgraded mechbox aegs for the remainder of the airsofting event was able to complete there mission of the game with no airsoft gun problems for the next 4 hours. For more information on your aeg or gas airsoft gun visit us online at Airsoft Battle Zone.

Mr & Mrs Armsdealer

Airsoft Events Being Planned For 2007

We are in the planning stage for Wisconsin airsoft events here at Airsoft Battle Zone with our newly sponsored team Wolf Recon for the year 2007. I will give you dedicated airsofters a preview of what is to come for 2007. Besides the first indoor cqb airsoft event being sponsored here in Wisconsin by Airsoft Battle Zone on January 14th, we are going to have a cook out here at the airsoft gun store in EauClaire, Wisconsin approximately the 1st Saturday of March to promote the sport of airsofting. For all who could not attend this bone chilling airsoft game event missed a great time.

People started arriving to the Country Jam grounds in EauClaire, Wisconsin on this bone chilling morning of December 3rd, 2006 at 0830 and continued arriving until about 9:45AM. We got everyone who attended this airsoft event registered and chronographed. Everyone was split into teams and the briefing began at 11:00AM. A little behind schedule, but we were short staffed due to the cold. Game started a little after 11:00AM with the Government forces rushing the crash site and taking several kilos of cocaine. The Cartel responded by clearing out all but one of the government forces before being killed off. Amidst the Chaos a civilian and 3 canines wandered into the area and had to be evacuated.
With the Government holding the crash site and its respawn point the Cartel decided to put all efforts on recovering the large pile of coke in possession of the Government at their base via the village. Quite a lot of close quarters fighting house to house with several "bang" kills recorded. The Angry Farmers also assisted in hassling the government forces, but due to their small numbers, they were quickly routed. The game progressed with the Government holding off the Cartel very well from their base. Ending at 12:30PM final score was 52 Kilo's for the Government and 32 for the Cartel.

We broke for a nice lunch for about an hour and a half and started the 2nd half at 1400.

The objective of mission two was to hold the road and the convoy of supplies on it.

The Cartel quickly established control and held the Government at bay for about 45 minutes. The Government Forces pooled their resources and out flanked the Cartel's position, gaining control of the road for the remainder of the time. Despite numerous valiant attempts by the Cartel to regain control, they had lost 4 players during the game. The Farmers jumped in to assist the Cartel, but battery issues on both sides led to more and more players dropping out.

Final score Government 102 points and Cartel 32 points.

A good clean game was played by all, with absolutely no accusations of cheating on either side. There were a few times players had to be reminded to pay extra attention to if they were being hit or not, but with all the bundling up necessary to play in this environment, I am confident they were all unintentional.

All in all it was a great event. It was our first game at the Country Jam grounds and I think its safe to say people enjoyed their experience and will be back to settle the score. I want to thank everyone who attended and exhibiting great sportsmanship, camaraderie and above all having fun. Its people like you that make the sport of airsofting great.

Mr & Mrs Armsdealer

Airsoft Gun Safety Suggestions

There are a lot of pros and cons about the sport of airsofting. Here you will find some common sense airsofting safety tips.

1) Full face mask the impact standard for these are ANSI z.87.1. rated. It is very important to protect your eyes and teeth.

2) Make sure you have full skin cover; these little plastic pellets can sting on bare skin.

3) Make sure you are at least 15 feet away from your opponent before firing your airsoft gun.

4) Never remove the orange tip from your airsoft gun it is Federal Law.

5) Always treat your airsoft gun as a real weapon.

6) If you’re transporting your airsoft gun always have it in a gun case.

7) Never display your airsoft gun in the open public. Meaning do not play or run down a side walk with it in your hand.

8) Do not airsoft in any public place..Parks, campgrounds, and school play grounds ECT...

9) Never take any airsoft gun to school.

10) Always play airsoft games or target shoot only on private property or designated playing fields. Check with your local and state laws on airsoft guns and the sport of airsofting before playing due to the laws are different at every local and state level.

11) If you commit a crime with an airsoft gun you will be charged as if it was a real gun.

These are just a few of common sense safety measures you should take for airsoft guns and the sport of airsofting. Remember most of your AEGS, gas airsoft guns and spring airsoft guns look like the real guns most of the better brands are all 1 to 1 scale to the real firearm so please treat it as a real firearm. Come join the fun with us on January 14th,2007 for Operation "Another One Bites the Sawdust" You can get all the hottest information about this airsofting event on line at airsoftbattlezone.com
Because we want every one to have a safe and fun airsoft event please find the indoor cqb game rules as follows:

1. GOGGLES AND FULL FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WITHN THE PLAY AREA AND TARGET RANGE. At no time during the game will a player be allowed to break the seal of the goggle from around their eyes. Only goggles / eyewear that meet the following requirements will be allowed:
• The impact standard for goggles is ANSI z.87.1.
• They must fully encompass the eyes, with no gaps.
• They must be fitted with a head strap to keep them from falling off during a game.
• The lens frame must be sturdy enough to keep the lens in place during play.
In addition, all players will be required to wear full face masks covering the mouth, ears, and nose areas. Paintball masks may have the cheek areas cut away to allow the proper shouldering of long arms, as long as all openings in the head are fully covered by the remainder of the mask. Cloth coverings such as balaclavas, scarve, shemeaghs, etc., will NOT be considered adequate face protection for this indoor CQB event. Rental masks will be available onsite.

2. BARREL BLOCKING DEVICES ARE REQUIRED. Barrel blocking devices such as the red barrel caps that come with most AEGs, paintball approved barrel socks/condoms, or holsters for sidearm’s are required to be secured over player’s gun barrels at all times. The only exception is at the target range or within the playing area after a game starts. Violators will be asked to leave the building with no refund issued.

3. ALL GUNS MUST BE MAGAZINE FREE OUTSIDE THE PLAY AREA. All handheld or slung guns must be loading magazine free (“Mag Free”) in the staging area. Sidearms are not required to be mag free as long as they are holstered. When leaving the play area, a player must remove the magazine from his gun, fire 2-3 clearing shots in a safe direction, and cap his gun barrel with his barrel blocking device before proceeding to the staging area.

4. ALL GUNS MUST BE SAFELY TRANSPORTED. All guests must transport their guns in a safe manner. Specifically, a gun must be carried in a soft or hard shell case suitable for real firearms, or within its original factory shipping box, until you are in the staging area inside the building. Since the building we are using is within the Osseo city limits, guns MUST NOT be removed from their cases until they are inside the building – removing a gun from its case in the parking area could result in confiscation of that gun by the Osseo police, as well as ejection from the event without a refund. All guns must have a factory-installed trigger guard.

5. FPS LIMIT WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. All guns must be chronographed prior to game time. Players may also be chosen at random for handheld chronograph spot-checks.

FPS Limit for all guns: 350 FPS w/ .20 gram BBs.

All guns will be chronographed prior to the beginning of the game using .20 gram BBs. You will be given 2 attempts, consisting of no more than 3 shots each, in which to chronograph at the appropriate FPS. If your gun is unable to chronograph legal after 2 attempts, you will not be able to use that weapon in the game. Once your gun passes the chronograph test, it will have a colored zip tie attached to it. No weapons without zip ties will be allowed in the play area. All guns are subject to a chronograph test at any time deemed necessary by the Event Organizer or referees. Any modifications made to your gun after being chronographed found to increase your FPS will result in your immediate and permanent removal from the game. No refunds will be issued.

6. 6mm PLASTIC OR BIODEGRADABLE BBs ONLY. Metal BBs are not allowed. Once your gun has been chronographed, you may choose to fire .20 gram or .25 gram 6mm BBs during the game. .20 gram and .25 gram BBs will be available for purchase in the staging area before and during the game. BBs heavier than .25 grams are not allowed. Weapons firing 8mm BBs may not be used.

7. SHOOTING SAFETY. Players may only discharge their weapons at the target range or within the play area. No shooting into or out of the staging area or outside the building. NO BLIND SHOOTING - players must be able to see what they are shooting at. Players may never shoot at another player who is closer than the minimum engagement distance of 10 feet. If an opponent is closer than 10 feet away, a player should shout "BANG!" in order to notify the opponent he/she has been eliminated at extreme close range. You must have an open line of sight to perform a “bang” kill - a "bang" kill may not be performed through a barrier or through netting. While head shots count, players are asked not to intentionally target another player’s head. Full automatic fire may be allowed during particular scenarios at the discretion of the Event Organizer.

8. KNIFE KILLS. Players are allowed to bring rubber knives for use in silent eliminations. To eliminate a player from behind with a knife, lay the knife on the player’s shoulder where he or she can see it with a head turn, and whisper “KNIFE!” A knifed player is immediately eliminated the moment the knife touches their shoulder, and may not cry out or do anything but collapse to the ground. If two or more players face off against each other with drawn knives, both are considered to have stabbed each other and both are eliminated automatically. NO PUNCHING, GRAPPLING, BLOCKING OR ANY OTHER PHYSICAL CONTACT OF ANY KIND IS ALLOWED!

9. MOVEMENT. Players may not construct anything that will hinder the movement of or cause injury to other players. Players may not alter or move any non-prop features or barriers in the play area. Players may never climb onto or under features. Players may shoot through any opening in a wall, but may only pass through doorways – climbing through windows or holes in walls is prohibited. Do not charge blindly into a space or around an object, as the area may already be occupied. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL NOT TO STEP ON ELIMINATED PLAYERS!

A player may leave a scenario at any time by calling “I’M OUT!”, raising their hands above their head and going to the target range. All guns must be either holstered or mag-free with barrels blocked before they may be carried into the staging area.

10. NO UNAUTHORIZED EQUIPMENT. The building is heated to the mid-50s in winter, so dress appropriately. Since this is normally a paintball facility, the walls and features will have paint on them and players should bear in mind that they are highly likely to get paint on their clothing during play. Players are not allowed to bring into the building any equipment deemed unsafe by the Event Organizer. Players in the play area are not allowed to carry real knives of any kind, metal tools of any kind, explosive or other pyrotechnic devices, real firearms, or other non-Airsoft related items. No metal cleats on shoes or boots. Smoke grenades are not allowed. BB grenades or other non-pyrotechnic explosives simulators must be individually approved by the Event Organizer before use in a game.

11. NO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS ARE ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON SITE. No smoking within the building. Smoking is allowed on the sidewalk outside the building and in the parking area.

12. NO VERBAL ABUSE OR PHYSICAL CONTACT. No profanity, name calling, or slurs against anyone’s race, color, national origin, family members, teams or equipment will be tolerated. Guests wearing clothing with offensive wording on them will be asked to remove the garment. A player may not touch another player or their personal equipment at any time without their express permission, except to tap a shoulder during a knife kill.

13. REFEREES’ DECISIONS ARE FINAL. Any decision a referee makes is final and will not be discussed in the play area. The referee will discuss any calls in a calm manner in the staging area after the scenario is over. Players who are found by a referee to have violated any of the rules listed here will be asked by the Event Organizer to leave the game with no refund issued.

14. AGE REQUIREMENT. All players must be sixteen years old or older to participate. Players under eighteen years old are required to have a Parental Waiver signed and dated by their parent or legal guardian. NO EXCEPTIONS.

15. ELIMINATION. A player is eliminated from play if a BB strikes any part of his/her body, from the top of the head to the tips of the fingers to the bottoms of the feet, including any of equipment or gear worn. When a player is eliminated he will call out loudly “I’M HIT!” He will immediately fall to the ground as if dead, and remain in this position until time is called on the scenario. No players are allowed to fire upon eliminated players.

Live players are not allowed to “play possum” or otherwise pretend to be dead in order to lure other live players closer. Live players are not allowed to move or reposition eliminated players.

Eliminated players are considered dead and MUST NOT talk or communicate in any way with their teammates until the scenario is over. Eliminated players are not allowed to give any equipment or supplies to any other player, but may quietly leave equipment lying where they were eliminated. Hits to a player’s gun do not eliminate a player; However, they do eliminate that weapon. The gun is unusable until it has been returned to the staging area. An eliminated player must immediately drop any game props he or she is carrying.

Airsoft is a game of HONOR and Sportsmanship. ALL players strive to exemplify fair play and call their hits, regardless of circumstance. In situations where a player isn’t sure, they should give their opponent the benefit of the doubt and simply call themselves out. You will not have to wait long to get back into another scenario if you are eliminated, so please take your hits!

Players must exercise particular caution during indoor Close Quarters Battles to not over-shoot an opponent, or fire upon an opponent within the 10-foot “no-shoot” range. Any player who, instead of using the “Bang!” call, fires upon an opponent within 10 feet will be automatically eliminated the first time by the referee whether or not their fire hit their opponent. That player will also be warned that they will be ejected from the building if they do it again. Players who are determined by the referees to be over-shooting their opponents will be warned once, then ejected from the building without refunds if they continue to over-shoot,

Cheating will not be tolerated in any form by any player. If you are caught cheating you will be ejected from the building and you will NOT get a refund. Period.

16. GAME PROPS. Game props supplied or personally approved by the Event Organizer are the only props authorized for use in the play area.

17. ROLEPLAYING & SCORING. There will be no Medics or wounding in these scenarios. Eliminated players do not reinsert, but remain lying on the ground where they were eliminated until the end of the scenario is announced. In the building we will be using, indoor scenarios go quickly. There will be many scenarios throughout the day, with players rotating in and out of the play area. Players may be assigned specific roles at the discretion of the Event Organizer. The scoring of each scenario will be explained by the Event Organizer before the scenario begins.

18. LOOTING. In some scenarios, eliminated players may be looted for their game money and/or game props by live players. Only game money and/or game props may be demanded by a looter, no other item or equipment may be demanded. Most consumers look at a retailer as just a business making money, NOT the case here at Airsoft Battle Zone. We are in business not to only make a profit but to promote the airsofting sport in a positive and safe manner threw out our nation. Our goal is to work with communities all over the state of Wisconsin and the other 49 airsoft association communities to promote safety, education, sportsmanship, responsibility, and healthy fun in the airsofting sport. So with that all said my husband and I decided we would like to sponsor a team, so with sponsoring events, talking with different teams and listening to what there goals are as a team and watching the teams play we decided that Wolf Recon was the team for us. Moving forward we popped the question to the Wolf Recon Team letting them know that Airsoft Battle Zone would be Honored to Sponsor there team. So now we unite! Now what does this mean to the team and us, you ask? This means many different things with the first one being educating the communities on the safety and dangers of airsoft guns and playing the airsofting sport, working with schools of all grades, working with the police departments, and working with local military to accomplish this goal. The next is working with the youth in the inner city and out lying areas by teaming them up one on one with a Wolf Recon team member at airsofting events so they learn sportsmanship, safety, patience, responsibility and maneuvers among much much more. Another one of our goals is to have a safety and training class for all who would like to attend for all ages. Also we would like our Team Wolf Recon and Airsoft Battle Zone to be able to travel to other events in other states to promote the sport of airsofting by playing these events win or lose but to simply promote a positive attitude on the airsofting sport. You can bet one thing Wolf Recon will be the best and most positive airsofting team Wisconsin has ever seen because they have what it takes to do this and with Airsoft Battle Zone backing them and Wolf Recon backing us the Airsofting Sport will be much more productive and safe in 2007.

Mr & Mrs Armsdealer

Operation Columbian Necktie After Action Report

12/10/2006
The day has arrived for this long awaited airsofting event, Operation Columbian Necktie. The day begins with going to the Wisconsin Country Jam grounds to finish the set up for this airsofting event. We arrive at 8:30A.M. The temperature is 18 degrees outside with a slight cold wind, the teams begin to arrive all geared up and ready for some action. Once all the teams arrived they all gathered at the Airsoft Battle Zone booth to purchase their ammunition and to rent their favorite G&G and Tokyo Marui aeg airsoft guns. It now is 10:00A.M. The briefing begins and the teams are split into equal sides. The airsoft scenario is on, with everyone headed for there positions and I going to my position a heated truck, I await for action reports. As the game scenario proceeds I have the government troops coming to my very heated truck to report they have collected a lot of cocaine and the rebel team is fighting desperately to obtain it back into there positions. I feel they only reported to me to grab some heat as I would roll down my window. Threw out the 1st half of the airsoft scenario I would have rebel players come to me one at a time to drop off items for me to hold so they would not lose it in the buildings and woods they were playing in, but again I still think it was for the warmth of the truck. The rebel intelligent would inform me of there fight so desperately to obtain the cocaine back from the government forces. It now is high noon; with the airsoft team’s frost bit from the first half of the event but loving every second of it they are starving so off to lunch we all go. They all grabbed a nice hot bbq sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, chips and hot cider they all gathered around and discussed the afternoon strategies of winning this airsofting event. During lunch we enjoyed a side show of Wolf Recons team all doing a great dance and of course from my nice and hot vehicle I got some great recorded footage of this dance. Can you vision about 7 men all dressed in camo dancing it was a site to see. Ok lunch is over, on with the 2nd half of Operation Columbian Necktie, and of course with me back in my nice hot position in the truck the troops move into the woods where I can watch all the action. The shoot outs were amazing a couple of times I was even in the line of fire. Watching these teams sneaking and stalking there opponents was great and again I got some really great footage on video. However the rebel troops just could not get there cocaine back the government forces really held there ground. Well as the game went on the day began to end with the sun going down and it becoming colder when the teams could no longer see each other the scenario had ended, so you can bet with neither side winning by night fall and both sides fighting so hard for their cocaine there will be a part II. With everyone packing up there gear and all the chatting on how great this airsofting scenario was and how great the field was to play on and how they can not wait for the next event they realized they were froze and starving. So I kindly shuttled everyone to there vehicles a team at a time and off to Old Country Buffet we all went for some heat, food and great conversation. Our next airsoft event will be held January 14th, 2007 Operation: Another One Bites the Sawdust so feel free to come and battle it out with us. Wisconsin airsoft event.
Hosted by EauClaires Centurion Airsoft Team:

Operation Colombian Necktie Background:

The South American country of Colombia is one of the highest exporters of cocaine in the world. Its home to many of the world's drug cartels. The most powerful cartel in Colombia is the Cali Cartel. The Cali Cartel operates mainly in the mountainous region of Colombia due to inaccessibility to rival drug cartels and the Colombia government.

The Colombian government usually has enough problems of there own without starting conflicts with powerful drug cartels, but this year is different. The Colombian people are tired of living in fear of the drug cartels that give Colombia the highest kidnapping and murder rates on the continent. Elections start this spring and the political party currently in power is fearful of the people electing a new party into office. The Colombian government, fearful of losing office, has gone on the offensive against the cartels. Since the Colombian military is not strong enough to take on all the drug cartels at once, they have chosen to cut the head off the snake and put the Cali Cartel out of business. The assumption is that if the Colombia government can remove the leading cartel, the remaining cartels will lay low in fear of repercussion. This will make the Colombian people satisfied, which will allow the current government to stay in office.

Mission:

The Colombian military has been given the task of stopping the flow of drugs out of the mountainous region and to put the Cali Cartel out of business by any means necessary.

A military patrol, equipped with Russian built SA-7 shoulder fire anti-aircraft rockets, shot down a Cali Cartel transport jet just after it took off from its airstrip. The Colombian army has been given the orders to go into the area of the crash site to secure as many kilos of cocaine as possible. The politicians are on the horn with military commanders and are trying to get them to over run the cartel as soon as possible. The Cali Cartel will be in the area locating the crash sight and will also be attempting to retrieve their cocaine. They will not hesitate to engage anybody in the area and will fight to the death in order to stay in business.

Due to this being such a high profile conflict the Colombian intelligence agency has provided satellite images of the area, which includes the crash sight, known drug labs in the area, and the Cali Cartels headquarters. The intelligence agency also informed the military that there be a small guerrilla faction in the area that is an equal opportunity faction, they will kill anyone for anything and are deemed to be extremely hostile.

If you like the airsofting sport and like live action role playing, come join us on Dec. 3rd 2006. When a CDF Search & Rescue Team waded ashore on the morning of 5 November 2006, they expected to face heavy resistance from a Cordillerista garrison holding Government Pows on the island (Oh, and they did. Both of the Nostromo amphibious landing firefights arre among the most intense I’ve ever seen in a scenario game.) What the Government forces did not expect was a sizable presence, since the Costaguanan government itself had forcibly evacuated all inhabitants from the island in the 1930s.
Who were these civilians, and what were they doing on Isabel? Two of them were unsuspecting young Isa tribeswomen out on a day trip to their ancestral home island in their family's sold ARGO; one was a Professor of Archeology from the University of Costaguana, tasked with discreetly recovering ancient Isa artifacts; one was a smuggler disguised as a CDF soldier with a fake ID, carrying $4,000 with which he was to attempt to secretly buy the artifacts for his wealthy art collecting client – or steal them if all else failed; and the others were civilian mercenaries, a few of them illegal aliens with fake IDs.
The Isle de Isabel has a forgotten past that had drawn them all, rebel, military, and civilian. The Isa once ruled a mighty empire, but were conquered and subjugated by the Aztec many hundreds of years ago. The Isa Empire had made its last stand on the sacred island of Isa-Bekl, site of their Great Temple and burial ground of the kings and queens of the Isa ruling dynasty. Their last queen, Kakapotal the Warrior Maiden, died in battle defending the remaining remnant of her once-mighty people. She was 17 years old when she fell. Much later, the Aztec empire itself fell before the invading Spanish. A Conquistador exploring party was sent to the island they thought the natives called “Isabelle,” where they discovered a curious fact: an Isa king or queen was always buried with a realistic replica of a human skull carved out of solid white stone. The Spaniards carried away one of these Stone Skulls as a curiosity in 1598, but the other six remained buried in the rubble of the destroyed Isa temple. Eventually, this same Stone Skull – the Stone Skull of Kakapotal herself - ended up in a glass case in a forgotten corner of the Costaguana National Museum, until a theft attempt alerted the museum to its potential value on the black market. Archeologists had long complained that both the Costaguanan government and the Cordillerista rebels were confiscating and selling any ancient artifacts they could seize, in order to fund their war efforts against each other. The thought of the last known Isa artifacts falling into the hands of black marketers was too much for the academic community to bear. Since the government could not be entirely trusted to be free of smugglers, they organized a clandestine expedition to the Isle de Isabel to retrieve the six remaining Isa Stone Skulls before it was too late.
This expedition set out not a moment too soon, for the Cordilleristas were already on the island looking for the Stone Skulls when the archeological team arrived – mere minutes ahead of the CDF force. The original rebel plan was to use POW labor to locate the Skulls, and then lie in wait for the archeologists. In order to be valuable to an art collector, an artifact must be properly identified and tagged by a trained archeologist who can confirm the artifact’s authenticity. The rebels knew this, and planned on shaking down the archeological team for bribes if possible or, if that failed, killing the team and stealing the tagged artifacts. The rebels stumbled upon the startled local Isa girls as they were picnicking, and paid them $50 to reveal the locations of all six Stone Skulls. Rebel soldiers later robbed these two of $15 of this money. The over-eager rebel troopers unearthed the Skulls and stashed the heavy artifacts in their packs, not knowing that the Skulls themselves were worthless without archeological tags.
The government POWs, meanwhile, had plans of their own. Unbeknownst to their rebel captors, the resourceful CDF captives had fashioned small but deadly blowguns. As a fierce firefight raged on the beach and in the valley, one POW managed to kill his guards with deadly efficiency and escape less than a half-hour after CDF forces landed, earning points with CDF Command. While CDF forces methodically pushed the rebels back into the woods, sustaining heavy casualties in the process and depleting CDF cash reserves, the second POW bided her time. She seized her moment in style when the opportunity arose to kill the Cordillerista commander himself, steal a loaded pistol, kill the Cordillerista quartermaster and loot the Cordillerista cashbox. She was, unfortunately for the CDF, spotted by an alert rebel sentry who shot and wounded her while she was in the no-man’s land between the two forces. The CDF medic was unable to reach her, and CDF Command was unwilling to pay the $2,000 ransom demanded by the rebels for her release, so she was executed with a sniper’s bullet where she laid...

(the saga continues, with lunch)
After a brief and fruitless ceasefire (no fruit, but there were Sloppy Joes, chips, homemade brownies, and cookies) the combatants again manned the battle lines. CDF Command had alerted the CDF field commander to the likely presence of an operative among the ranks, but the smuggler laid low and remained undetected. By now, the CDF commander on the ground had discovered the existence and the great value of the six Stone Skulls, but was uncertain as to their whereabouts. The CDF therefore concentrated on rounding up and energetically interrogating civilians, hoping to obtain more information. The Isa girls were arrested, their ammo clips were confiscated, and the hapless young ladies were forced to use themselves and their ARGO as human shields for CDF assault troops attempting to gain the heights on the northern edge of the island. The younger of the two Isa girls was killed by rebel fire during this operation. A television reporter from an independent station in Minnesota, USA, is said to have recorded this event and filed a formal protest with the UN. The government of Costaguana has promised a full investigation into the alleged atrocity.
Meanwhile, the wily archeological team had managed to locate the somewhat ill-informed rebel squad lugging around 60 pounds’ worth of Stone Skulls. These footsore Cordillerista troops were eager to sell the artifacts at a bargain price. The archeological team purchased every one of the six Stone Skulls for less than one-twentieth of their tagged value on the black market. Not only that, but the Professor managed to talk the rebel squad into assaulting the CDF guard outpost in the valley, so the archeological team could avoid any government entanglements on the way to their boat on the beach.
With the bulk of the CDF forces committed to a search for civilians and/or Skull artifacts on the ridge, with the CDF quartermaster again out of funds to pay reinforcements, the squad left to guard the beach fought valiantly in a vicious close-quarters engagement among the trenches but were eventually overwhelmed. The archeological team loaded their boat with the six tagged and bagged Stone Skull artifacts, and slipped quietly out to sea before either the CDF commander or the smuggler had time to react.
When word reached CDF Command that the Skulls were in the possession of armed National Museum personnel, the remaining CDF forces on the island were ordered to delay a Cordillerista breakout until CDF reinforcements could arrive. The rebels, perhaps sensing a tightening noose, rushed to their boats before the CDF unit on the ridge could regroup on the beach defenses. With the artifacts and the rebels gone, CDF Command ordered the evacuation of the battered CDF survivors.
The CDF finished the game with 0 points. They had gained 100 points by recovering one POW alive, but lost the same amount of points by requiring an additional $100 advance from CDF Command in order to continue operations. No fake IDs were found or confiscated. The CDF forces on the island fought hard and well, but the negative publicity generated by the treatment of the Isa civilians is likely to haunt the government for some time to come. The field commander and a number of his men are facing inquiries, while the ethnic Isa community is demanding reparations, and the UN is said to be considering sending a peacekeeping force into Costaguana to end the civil war.
The smuggler finished with 0 points. He remained undetected throughout the game, but he also failed to obtain even a single Stone Skull artifact for his demanding and unforgiving clients. He, and the $4,000 in his clients’ cash he was carrying, has disappeared without a trace. His whereabouts are unknown.
The Cordillerista rebels finished with 625 points for the money in their cashbox. The Glorious Leader of the Cordillerista Revolutionary Council was said to be enraged that $14,000’s worth of artifacts had been traded for a mere $600, and is rumored to have called for the Cordillerista commander’s execution, until an aide pointed out how the incident with the Isa girls could be exploited to strengthen their hand at least as much as the money would have. The Glorious Leader agreed, and instead ordered the former Cordillerista field commander to go underground and form a Cordillerista rebel cell among the ethnic Isa villages on the Costaguanan coast.
The Archeological Team were the clear winners, with 6,000 points for the six tagged Stone Skull artifacts safely recovered from the island and around $1,500 remaining in their expedition fund at the end of the game. Scholars from around the world are clamoring to be allowed to examine them. Overnight, the Professor has become an international celebrity within the archeological community, and calls have gone up for him to head additional digs among the ruins on the Isle de Isabel. The National Geographic Society is rumored to be planning a documentary film about the Isa people and their history.
Meanwhile, in a squalid hut on the poverty-stricken Costaguanan coast, Kiella, a 17-year-old Isa girl contemplates the loss of her younger sister for the gain of $35. Having been brutalized by government forces and robbed at gunpoint by rebel soldiers, she begins to think that this event was no accident in her life, that it was actually a symbol of the fate of her people. A call, even, a call from her ancestors to RISE AND FIGHT. Too long have the Isa been trampled and ignored. Her people have a legend that says that, if the peaceful rest of the Seven King and Queens of the Isa is ever disturbed, the Ancestor Ghost will rise up in wrath and wreak terrible vengeance on those who dared to desecrate the holy ground of Isa-Bekl. She hears the Ancestors whispering to her now whenever she is alone, and she has visions of the screaming white Skull of Kakapotal the Warrior Maiden in a glass box filled with blood. She no longer fears these visitations, for she begins to see what they must mean. Even though it was her sister who died, this young woman is coming to believe that she, Kiella, may BE the Ancestor Ghost sent to avenge the wrongs done to her people….

Mean while Operation Colombian Necktie will come to life on December 3rd 2006 in EauClaire, Wisconsin on the Country Jam grounds. The 1st one being Operation Nostromo held on Sept. 24th, 2006.

The Costaguanan Defense Forces won with 14,330 points (that's two captures of the Cordillerista Command Vehicle, two radio transmitters confiscated, one rocket launcher confiscated, and $7,330 in the treasury at game's end.) I unfortunately don't know the name of the CDF MVP, but the CDF Commander won the award for the Best Looter, which bodes well for his future in Costaguanan politics.
The Cordillerista Resistance Fighters finished with 9,081 points (that's one CDF landing craft stolen off the beach by the Cordillerista Commander in the final minutes of the game, and one arms cache salvaged from the foot of a cliff Nick the Cordy MVP and Brendan the Smuggler bravely - if accidentally - plunged over while carrying a crateful of weapons, plus $2,081 in the treasury at game's end.)
The Smugglers, brilliantly played by Brendan and Cerys Jenks, finished with $5,600 in cash and both players alive/active at the end of the scenario.

These events are live action role playing better known as (LARP). Let me tell you about some great past and upcoming airsoft scenario events that we sponsored in Wisconsin. The 1st airsoft scenario was held September 24th, 2006 at Battlefield Paintball in Osseo, Wisconsin. The Event name was Operation Nostromo, being it was the first airsoft game we sponsored it was a good turn out with 23 airsoft player's.
Here is a small clip from the 1st airsoft game scenario.

Operation Nostromo:
Background: The Republic of Costaguana is a tiny Central American nation currently ruled by a military junta. A native insurgent group, the Cordilleristas, has been active in the country for many years. Government agents have been tipped off that a group of gringo gun-runners will be attempting to deliver a substantial cache of arms to the rebels, and that the delivery is scheduled to be made on 24 September on the Isle de Isabel just off the Costaguana coast. The insurgents are said to have fortified the abandoned beach defenses on the island, which overlook the Isle de Isabel’s only safe landing spot. The government has dispatched an amphibious assault force to the island with orders to destroy the rebel force there, arrest the smugglers, and confiscate the cache of arms for the use of the Costaguana Defense Forces. The Cordilleristas desperately need to obtain this shipment of arms in order to continue their resistance, while the smugglers just want to deliver the goods and get paid without getting killed or captured.

Now, with all the player's enjoying the 1st airsoft scenario game and the field being played on we desided to sponsor another airsoft game. Nostromo II was created and held on November 5th, 2006 with a great turn out of 50 airsoft player's. Here is a small clip from the 2nd airsoft game scenario.

Operation Nostromo II:
Return to the Isle de IsabelThe government of Costaguana left a small CDF garrison squad on the Isle de Isabel at the conclusion of Operation Nostromo I, to prevent the island from being used by smugglers as a rendezvous spot in the future. CDF command on the mainland has lost contact with this garrison squad, and the rumor has reached the mainland that a Cordillerista nighttime raid overwhelmed them. The CDF believes that their garrison squad is now being held captive on the island by a Cordillerista unit of unknown strength and purpose, and have dispatched an elite CDF Search & Rescue unit to find and liberate the surviving CDF POWs. It is rumored that the Cordilleristas are using these CDF captives to complete their own secret mission on the island….
Can the CDF find and free their captive comrades? What mysterious secret does the Isle de Isabel conceal that could have drawn the Cordilleristas back?

Now with winter here in Wisconsin, and the love of the airsofting sport we must move indoor's. This is better known as CQB. So with that all said and by popular demand our next sponsored airsoft event will be held January 14th, 2007. (CQB)
Operation: Another One Bites The Saw Dust. The airsoft player cap on this scenario is 40 player's.
